VICTORIAN VILLA, NORTH WEST : PHASE ONE

The client purchased a dilapidated and untouched Victorian villa and it was our challenge to carry out a full house refurbishment to turn this unloved period property into a stunning family home suitable for modern living.

The concept was simple, yet it refreshed this stunning home. The character of the original house was retained throughout the ground and upper floors, with the generous room proportions and original detailed features carefully restored.

The upper floors were altered to create a large master suite, en-suite bedrooms, dressing room and laundry room. Careful consideration of everything from solid oak doors to oiled bronze hardware all help make these changes feel seamless. The classic, period architecture provides the perfect backdrop for the new elegant and sophisticated interior fit out package.

Downstairs, we introduced a double height basement conversion to take advantage of the change in ground levels between the front and rear. This space brings in a touch of contemporary design, creating an open living space and a seamless flow from the front door out to the new rear garden.

We were conscious of integrating new smart technology without compromising the sophisticated feel of this heritage home. Automated blinds, smart lighting and heating controls along with integrated audio and TV were all carefully designed to be both discreet and simple to use.

A full cinema room fit out provides an exciting surprise - this dark room a sudden contrast from the bright open living space, yet it still ties into the fabric of the home with continuity of architectural details and interior furnishings.
