PRIVATE HOUSE, NW

David had a key role in the design and coordination of the alteration works to this stunning period home. Alongside reestablishing the property as a single dwelling, a detached six car garage and separate orangery were introduced as part of the wider site development. Situated in both a Conservation Area and the Greenbelt, achieving planning permission was a challenging process but encouraged an attention to detail and respect for existing context.

A new porch extension created an entrance with status fitting for such a house whilst also seamlessly tying into the existing brickwork and ornate terracotta details. A new garage block reflects the character of the house in a simplified, subsidiary manner. Internally, new features took reference from the original motifs including a bespoke lift and reimagined gallery hallway.

Such a project required extensive drawings to capture the level of detail and craftsmanship desired. David was responsible for producing a complete package of nearly 300 drawings which would cover all elements of the design and phases of construction, along with producing 3D visuals for reference.
