A design exercise to produce a scheme for planning approval which responded directly to the site context whilst working to budget and volumetric constraints as a replacement dwelling.
The strategy was to site the house within its sloping landscape by using a continuous dry stone wall frontage to reflect the local agricultural architecture, but then entering into the home and being greeted with full height glazing presenting views of the valley below.
